SINOPSIS:
Tras pasar seis años en la cárcel, un joven que sale en libertad condicional se propone cambiar de vida, pero el policía que lo vigila sabotea sus buenas intenciones. (FILMAFFINITY)
Brillante e infravalorada obra maestra que empezó dirigiendo Dustin Hoffman unos días para acabar decidiendo cederle el puesto a Ulu Grosbard. Un guión originalmente escrito por Michael Mann (que no figura en los créditos), que adaptaba la novela "No Beast so Fierce", de Edward Bunker (novelista que tuvo un pequeño papel en "Reservoir Dogs", a la que también inspiró), y cuya historia conformaría el pilar para crear, años más tarde, el personaje de Neil McCauley (Robert DeNiro) en "Heat", con bastantes similitudes con el de Hoffman.
Otro fabuloso transfer de Warner Archive Collection, procedente de un Remaster a, almenos, 2K, y editado en 2021 en USA, es el que ilumina el rip de SARTRE, al que le he montado un doblaje castellano procedente de un dvdrip encontrado en la mula (audio de buena calidad). Como dirían en inglés, "a neglected masterpiece", un film que merece una oportunidad, y ahora, con esta calidad, no hay excusa que valga
